°1980 – In the last 22 years of my professional career, I have passed through IT development, technical design, project management, application, solution, and integration architecture while always developing a growing interest in business value and impact. Since 2009, I have focused on developing Enterprise Architecture competencies. I see those as a key enabler for companies to execute their strategies effectively.  Within the fields of planning, design, and keeping oversight on complexity, I worked a lot with teams in charge of coordinating cross-country portfolios and providing close guidance, coaching, and support to business and IT teams at a regional level. We were responsible for delivering measurable business outcomes through target architectures and transition roadmaps.

In total, I spent six years in the banking and insurance industry, followed by another six years in the travel and airline sector. Finally, I worked as a consultant for ten years across various contexts in different companies. Through these experiences, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I have supported and facilitated various change and transformation projects in multiple roles throughout my career. Across many sectors, I have been submerged in both supporting and core business functions to build or improve many different capabilities.

In the past five years, my focus has shifted from corporates to the mid-size (fast-growing) segment (100-500 Mio€ revenue). I have shaped strategic digital roadmaps, co-created digital transformation programs, and clarified their strategic business cases. I have also designed the high-level target architecture, planned the transition efforts, built and evaluated solution scenarios, led the technology selection process, created partnerships, evaluated proof of concepts, and always worked closely with internal teams. My usual approach involves reporting directly to the executive board, supporting the CIO, and advising the CxO and management-level personnel. During that time, I created or tweaked operating models for transformation management to enhance the effectiveness of strategy execution.

In the future, I want to keep shaping the way forward and the road that lies ahead. In volatile, uncertain, complex times overloaded with options, I believe this is more relevant than ever. Whether it's about innovation, continuous improvement, business growth, regulatory impact, new business models, cost-saving initiatives, group consolidation, simplification, or sustaining competitive advantage, I believe I can help in a more successful execution of change.

 

So whatever the domain or context, I enjoy taking strategy into execution to achieve results. To do this properly, I take plans beyond the boardroom and commit to moving them forward step by step.
