What do I actually do?
Wel, on top of what's in the About section... Simply achieving business (mission) goals and achieving ROI for your transformational investments, is not magic nor impossible if you are serious about it. Neither is there any magic in EA... it's quite simple.
... So what do I actually do?

Clarify the desired result(s), prioritize actions, understand, be understood

Think "IT fusion"; Communicate transparency on complexity and outline the bigger picture within today's global vision of interoperability, connectivity, ... to the right stakeholders.

Infuse EA-thinking in the organization; Nurture it and integrate with existing structures, strengthen where useful, clean up where needed, and create when essential. Inform & enable.

Master the company business model where, and as far as, necessary.

Design to change, don't build to last. Manage by portfolio & roadmap, think divergent. Inform and enable decision makers with real Pragmatic EA.

Contribute where needed by delivering specific architecture and IT capabilities based on cross-competence/cross-domain design within the right context.

Understand details and complexity to create a managable abstraction. The world doesn’t lend itself to be easily understood.
